May Day, May Day!

Have you started your wine for your summer sippin’? Birds are busy making nests in my yard. And to be honest, they are just busy, if you know what I mean. After the winter that wasn’t, we still have needs to be outside and permission to take it a little bit slower.

I still have a few choices left of all the specialty wines that were part of the Passport, LE and RQ program. Very limited quanties as many have already sold out.

Woot woot!!

Spring has come. My daffodils are already blooming and hope seems to sprout in the spring and my hope is for It to bring peace and civility to these somewhat tumultuous times.

We are looking for someone to join our merry band on a part time basis. The lucky one will be able to handle some lifting and standing for an extended period. You already know that cleanliness is important here at Main West. Perhaps you have just retired and are already thinking about the way you will handle extra time you have on your hands. The pay may not be what you are used to, but the employee discounts are attractive and we do have some fun here.

It is a fabulous time to think about what will be in your glass this spring and summer. Also, not a bad time to think about what you want in your glass at Christmas. So many glasses to fill and so much to ponder.

I have quite a few of the RQ wines still available. The Italian Sangiovese Cabernet is still abundant. Perhaps you know this wine by it’s other name-Chianti. We are often asked about a Chianti, and here is your chance. This will age beautifully, and supplies are limited.

We have a number of Chardonnay versions on sale this month. Don’t like the oak? We can make it without. We can craft wine to your tastes. For just $5.00 more, we can add fruit to that Chardonnay for a terrific summer sipper. Ask us what the possibilities are for your next batch.

Spring Forward to March Mega Specials

Forever Marching forward,

As we wait with baited breath for the next weird weather event, we can fantasize about the actual spring and think about the contents of our wine glass. Cleaning up our gardens should be easy, as I am sure the wind has blown almost everything to Barrie.

I am trying to fit some work in, now that Spring Training has begun, those of you who worship at the alter of baseball, know of what I speak.

We have a great lineup of sales for March. All Winexpert Reserve Wines are on sale for $15.00 off. That’s right, I said it.15.00 off! The Grenache Rose has become our best selling Rose with good reason. it is scrumptious.

We are welcoming March’s special editions as well this week. A refined German Riesling, a French Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and an Australian Cabernet Shiraz. I have some of the others left, but they are going quickly, as so many of you have been bold and been trying something new.

On a more somber note, RJ Spagnol has discontinued the Cru International Valpola and Sangiovese. Vieux Chateau Du Roi is also going to be discontinued. We have options available from Winexpert, Valrosa, Sangiovese and VCDR. And for $12.00 less.
